All advantages at a glance

Precise heating of samples through homogeneous heat distribution

The Hot Block Digestion Unit (HL-HBDU) is specially designed for acid digestion, evaporation and/or concentration of samples by targeted heating. The unit consists of a heating plate, a heating block, a controller and a heat protection for the safety of the operating personnel.

The heating block is heated evenly by the heating plate and allows the sample vessels to be heated completely from all sides. This ensures a homogeneous temperature distribution, making the digestion process more efficient and reliable.

Adaptability and corrosion protection for demanding applications

The HL-HBDU offers high flexibility and can be optimally adapted to the individual requirements of the customer and the samples. The temperature can be continuously adjusted throughout the entire working range, while the recesses in the heating block can be precisely adapted to the shape of the laboratory beakers. This ensures optimal temperature transfer and thus precise control of the digestion process.

Another advantage of the HL-HBDU is its high resistance to corrosion. All essential components are made of robust graphite, which is additionally provided with a chemical-resistant PFA coating. This ensures reliable protection against aggressive acids and other corrosive substances.

Designed for integration into automated processes

The HL-HBDU is designed for use in fully automated laboratory environments. A portal system automatically loads and unloads the sample vessels. After the vessel has been placed in one of the four recesses of the heating block, it remains there for a defined period of time at the previously set temperature. The built-in controller enables seamless monitoring of the temperature achieved and the entire heating process. With the help of an optional advanced controller, the temperature can be set and monitored directly via the HMI.

A load cell can be used to check the weight of the sample vessel before and after heating in the HL-HBDU. If the set target weight has not been reached, the heating time can be extended according to the parameters stored in the PrepMaster software.

These features make the HL-HBDU a versatile and safe solution for automated sample digestion.

Options for highly efficient extraction

The HL-HBDU can be optionally equipped with an exhaust system that was specially developed for toxic or acidic vapors. This exhaust system prevents the spatial spread of vapors and thus increases the safety for people and machines.

These features make the HL-HBDU a versatile and safe solution for automated sample digestion.

Design options:

  • Adaptation of the HL-HBDU to different laboratory beaker sizes
  • Exhaust system for toxic and acidic vapors
  • Advanced controller for temperature setting and monitoring

Support Brackets – Series C

Anchors produces refractory support brackets. Support brackets are used when the walls of the furnace are high. This enables to spread the weight on the refractory which reduces the risk of deterioration of the wall. They are also often placed around doors or < openings > to reinforce the refractory on
