All advantages at a glance

Fully automatic bagging of powder samples

The HP-BVM enables the fully automatic packaging of powdered, ground or crushed samples in bags. The bags are then automatically closed, sealed and labeled. The sample material is fed into the bags by a robot. This takes the sample material in a cup and pours it into the bag positioned below it via a funnel. Vibrators ensure that the cup is emptied into the bag without leaving any residue.

Easy operation

The HP-BVM was designed to be particularly easy and user-friendly to operate. The machine’s concept is based on a chain of connected pre-made bags. These are guided along rails that open and support the bags during the filling process. The operator simply places a new set of bags in a box or on a pallet in front of the machine and attaches the bag chain to the machine. The machine then immediately starts running. The most important machine parameters can be easily adjusted. These include, for example, the sealing temperature, the air jet flow for opening the bags or the feed speed.

Avoiding contamination

The HP-BVM enables virtually contact-free filling of the bags. This significantly reduces the risk of contamination from previous samples. Only the funnel, which guides the sample material into the bag, comes into contact with the sample material. After the respective sample batch has been packaged, the robot removes the funnel from its holder and cleans it with compressed air in a special unit. A suction system is installed at points where dust may be generated.

Exclusion of sample mix-ups

Sample mix-ups are ruled out by monitoring the bags using QR code readers. It is always ensured that the sample material is assigned to a specific bag. Even in the event of a machine malfunction, this makes it impossible for samples to be mixed up. This is particularly important for valuable sample materials.

Maximum flexibility

The HP-BVM can be configured according to customer specifications. This means that the division of the initial samples into partial samples for bag packaging can be carried out in different ways. For example, the HP-BVM can be combined with a rotary divider (HP-RSD/S). The HP-BVM robot removes the cups with the sub-samples from the HP-RSD/S, stores them in a buffer magazine and then transfers them to the bags. Alternatively, the packaging machine can also be combined with a dosing machine.

The packaging machine is usually combined with a label printer. The filled bags can be discharged into a magazine configured to the customer’s requirements and stored there until removed by an operator. The length of the discharge conveyor and the function of the output magazine can be adapted to the customer’s requirements.

Of course, the principle of the chain bag machine allows the use of customised bags, which can be printed e.g. with the company logo according to customer specifications. Different bag sizes and materials are also available.

Design options:

  • Label printer
  • Combination with sample divider HP-RSD/S
  • Combination with dosing machine
