All advantages at a glance:
Precise and reproducible grinding
The HERZOG HP-M 100P is a state-of-the-art vibrating disc mill for the Sample Preparation in analytical laboratories. It is characterized by a high degree of automation, a compact design and a robust construction.
The HP-M 100P ensures consistent grinding quality for every sample – a prerequisite for reliable results in X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and X-ray diffractometry (XRD). The grinding process is fully program-controlled, eliminating operator errors and processing each sample under identical conditions. This high level of automation ensures excellent reproducibility, allowing laboratories to have complete confidence in the analytical data obtained from the ground samples.
Easy handling and operation
The HP-M 100P is designed for effortless operation without physical strain on the user. The grinding vessel is permanently mounted on the vibrating unit and has a user-friendly mechanism for opening and closing. The manual lifting of the heavy grinding vessel and the handling of the grinding tools are completely eliminated. The large opening and the easily accessible position of the vessel allow the sample to be filled quickly and cleanly.
After the sample has been entered, the operator folds down the grinding vessel lid. The grinding vessel is then automatically closed tightly by a bellows cylinder. When the grinding process is complete, the sample is automatically dispensed into a sample cup at a separate dispensing location for immediate collection.
Automatic cleaning system
The HP-M 100P has an integrated automatic cleaning system for the grinding vessel. After each grinding process, the vessel is thoroughly and efficiently cleaned with compressed air. This significantly reduces the risk of cross-contamination between samples. In addition, the system protects the operator from dust pollution and physical strain due to the manual handling of the grinding vessel. Automatic cleaning increases sample throughput by minimizing the time between grinding cycles – improving both working conditions and reliability in processing subsequent samples.
Closed, safe and quiet operation
The safety and comfort of the operating personnel are at the heart of the design of the HP-M 100P. The grinding chamber is completely enclosed and soundproofed, which significantly reduces the noise level in the laboratory. An integrated safety switch automatically locks the machine room during the grinding process, thus ensuring compliance with European CE safety directives. In addition, there is no need to manually lift heavy grinding vessels or handle grinding sets and – this reduces the risk of accidents and improves ergonomics at the workplace in the long term.
Efficient and durable design
The HP-M 100P is designed for high performance and enables short grind times even with hard materials. The powerful high-speed motor ensures that even challenging samples are crushed quickly and evenly. This efficiency reduces the preparation time of each sample – without sacrificing fineness or homogeneity. The robust construction increases a long service life of the grinder. The heavy-duty oscillating unit is designed for continuous operation and heavy loads, which reduces maintenance costs to a minimum in the long term. This durability is a key advantage, especially in industrial laboratories with high sample throughput, where reliability and low downtime are essential.
Programmable PLC controller for high versatility
At the heart of the HP-M 100P is a powerful programmable logic controller (PLC) that provides maximum flexibility and control over all grinding parameters. Users can store different preparation programs in the system memory and thus quickly switch between different grinding routines for different sample types. In each program, parameters such as grinding time, vibration intensity, dispensing time and cleaning time can be defined individually. Settings are conveniently made via the touchscreen control panel on the front of the machine, providing laboratory staff with an intuitive, easy-to-understand user interface.
