All advantages at a glance:
Short meals – long standing times
The HP-MA is suitable for a wide range of sample material including raw meal, clinker, cement, slag, ore, oxide material and ferroalloys. The high speed of the engine guarantees a short meal even with hard materials. The robust design, e.g. by double bearing of the eccentric shaft, ensures that the machine has a long service life.
Precise and flexible grinding
The operator has full control over the grinding process and can adjust all relevant machine parameters and process steps. The speed of the grinding vessel is infinitely adjustable between 600 and 1500 rpm. The temperature is constantly monitored and kept constantly at the target temperature. Sample entry and emptying intervals, when to add the grinding aid, the cleaning cycle, and more can be adjusted to achieve the optimal result for each material.
The grinding vessel has a volume of 100 cc, providing maximum flexibility for processing all kinds of materials. The grinding vessel is available in both chrome steel and carbide (tungsten carbide) and can be replaced with little effort.
Efficient cleaning – reliable analysis results
After the grinding process, the grinding vessel is automatically emptied and the ground material is dispensed. Three types of cleaning are available, namely air, sand and wet cleaning. Depending on the sample properties, these options can be used to completely prevent material carryover or reduce it to a low ppm range. In addition, there is the possibility of pre-contaminating the grinding vessel with a blank sample.
Numerous options, flexible configuration
The HP-MA can be equipped with dosing devices for solid or liquid grinding aids. A grinding vessel cooling system is available as an option, as well as a magnetic separator and cleaning device for transport cups. The HP-MA can be used as a stand-alone machine, together with a 30- or 60-position magazine and in combination with the HP-PA or other machines. Thanks to the modular design of the HP-MA, a wide range of installation options are available, including integration into linear or robotic automations.
Tool Condition Monitoring
The HP-MA enables tool condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. Optional intelligent sensor technology can be used to monitor not only each individual grinding process, but also the wear and tear of the vibrating unit and grinding set. Combined with PrepMaster Analytics software, this powerful tool ensures reproducible sample preparation conditions for highly accurate analysis. In addition, the HP-MA can be used to measure the specific grinding energy of a material fully automatically. This allows any quality assurance laboratory to easily determine the grindability of a material at any time – a test that is usually reserved for a few highly specialized laboratories.
