All advantages at a glance:

Manual Disc Vibrating Mill Model HSM

The HSM vibrating disc mill is the ideal machine for the fine grinding of hard, medium-hard and brittle materials. The HSM enables highly efficient grain size reduction on a wide range of materials including minerals, slags, ferroalloys and cement products. Due to its simple and ergonomic operation, low noise and small footprint, the HSM is the ideal machine for operation in the laboratory. At the same time, the machine can also be used in industrial environments due to its extremely robust and resistant design.

Maximum flexibility

The operator can easily configure all grinding parameters on the HSM control panel and put together individual sample preparation programs. The programmable logic controller of the HSM allows the storage of up to 30 different program sequences. The speed of the mill is infinitely variable in a range between 750 and 1500 rpm. The automatic program sequence guarantees a reproducible Sample Preparation and thus a high degree of accuracy and precision in material analysis. Due to the high rotation speed, even hard materials are ground down to the necessary grain size within short preparation times.

In order to enable analysis-neutral comminution of the sample material for different applications, grinding vessels and grinding sets made of different materials are offered. Optional versions in chrome steel, tungsten carbide, colmonoy and agate are available.

For efficient grinding of different sample quantities, different grinding vessel sizes are available. In the chrome steel and tungsten carbide versions, grinding vessel volumes of 10, 50, 100 and 250 cc are offered. In the Colmonoy version, grinding vessels with a volume of 100 or 250 cc can be used. The respective grinding sets are adapted in such a way that an optimal grinding result is achieved for every grinding vessel size.

Ergonomics and usability

A main focus was placed on the safe and ergonomic operation of the HSM. The working height has been adjusted so that the grinding vessel can be loaded and unloaded effortlessly. A wide carrying handle on both sides facilitates the handling of the grinding vessel and leads to more comfort and safety during transport.

By enlarging the grinding chamber, accessibility to the machine was further improved. The operator can open and close the machine flap safely and conveniently with the help of the attached gas struts. During machine operation, intervention in the machine room is prevented by a safety interlock on the machine flap. The completely enclosed grinding chamber and the sound-insulating lining of the stand and flap lead to a significant reduction in noise emissions.

In the basic HSM-H variant, the grinding vessel is clamped with the help of an easy-to-use quick-release device. With the optional HSM-P variant, the grinding vessel is automatically fixed by a pneumatic clamping device after input.

The machine is operated by means of the integrated touch-sensitive 7-inch color display. The panel size and clear menu navigation allow easy and intuitive access to all machine functions. The three buttons placed on the front of the machine are programmable to start frequently used sample preparation programs directly at the touch of a button.

Improved service features

The HSM has improved maintenance and service properties. Optionally available machine feet allow the machines to be set up even on uneven ground and allow easy adjustment to the optimal working height of the operator. The front and side inspection hatches facilitate access to the interior of the machine, allowing operators to perform regular cleaning and inspection tasks quickly and easily. In addition, service and repair work can be carried out efficiently.

Execution options:

  • Pneumatic clamping device (HSM 100 P, HSM 250 P)
  • Infinitely adjustable speed (750 – 1,500 rpm)
  • Grinding vessels chrome steel 10, 50, 100 or 250 ccm
  • Grinding vessels tungsten-carbide 10, 50, 100 or 250 ccm
