All advantages at a glance:
Designed for perfect surface grinding
The two grinding pads allow samples to be pre-sanded and post-sanded on one machine without the need for retooling. Each grinding pad is driven directly by its own motor and can be switched on and off individually. The direct drive of the grinding pads enables particularly precise grinding with low wear and reduced noise pollution. Both turntables rotate in the same direction, which supports fast and ergonomic sample handling and processing.
As an option, you can choose between two different speeds per plate. In the event of overvoltages and overloads, the motor protection circuit protects the machine from damage.
The opening above the turntable has been optimized to achieve maximum safety and user-friendliness. Variants of the opening shape can be offered on request.
Optimized sandpaper attachment
The vacuum suction on the sanding pads ensures that the sandpaper is firmly and absolutely flat. In addition, more cost-effective and quickly replaceable sandpaper can be used without adhesive or adhesive media. Time-consuming removal of adhesive residues is eliminated, as are quality-impairing unevenness due to adhesive strips. The result is precise and uniform flat sanding without corrugations.
Highest standards of occupational safety and ergonomics
During the development of the machine, a main focus was placed on occupational safety and ergonomics. The motor brakes ensure that the grinding pads are stopped immediately when switched off. In case of emergency, there is also an emergency stop push button. A safety foot pedal can also be used as an option, which prevents the machine from continuing to run without an operator. The foot pedal is not attached to the machine housing and can therefore be positioned in front of the machine as desired. The gap distance between the grinding pad and the cover has been reduced to a minimum.
The working height of 1000 mm and the free accessibility of the machine ensure ergonomic and fatigue-free working. Magnetic and mechanical specimen holders are available as accessories in different sizes for different specimen shapes
Efficient spark extraction
The integrated high-performance extraction system, together with the optimised extraction slots, ensures highly effective spark removal during grinding. Spark separation and an easy-to-change filter guarantee safety, dust-free and comfort for the operator. The coarser metal abrasions that occur during grinding collect in a drawer below the spark separator. This can be easily pulled out and cleaned.
