Sample observation STA-GCMS

Product Details

Sample Observation STA–Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry Measurement System

Successfully measured the water content of asteroid “Ryugu” samples collected by Hayabusa2 (measured at Tokyo HQ, August 4, 2021).

Simultaneous TG–GC-MS measurement while directly observing the sample during heating In addition to mass changes associated with thermal reactions, it provides high-sensitivity chemical reaction information that cannot be fully obtained through thermal analysis alone. Compatible with MS and GC-MS systems from various manufacturers, it serves as an essential tool for advanced materials research, process development, quality control, and basic science. Measurements under water vapor atmosphere are also supported.

Sample observation STA-GCMS Overview

■ Innovative evolved gas collection mechanism

Collects gases directly from near the sample while minimizing background levels of water and air.

■ Rich simulation functions and accurate temperature information

Offers wide flexibility in measurement conditions—heating, atmosphere, and sample amount—while providing accurate sample temperature information.

Mass change data from STA and chemical reaction data from GC-MS can be obtained simultaneously, allowing in-situ (on-site) observation of reaction progress.

Sample observation STA-GCMS Features

Support Brackets – Series C

Anchors produces refractory support brackets. Support brackets are used when the walls of the furnace are high. This enables to spread the weight on the refractory which reduces the risk of deterioration of the wall. They are also often placed around doors or < openings > to reinforce the refractory on
